I like trends but I also keep my clothes for a long time. At 41, I know what I like and don’t like and what works well for me and what does not. Some trends are not for me but the trends this fall are… *chefs kiss*. I probably feel this way because to me, these are things I already enjoy! Of all the trends, these three trends are my favorite. Because colors tend to trend you’ll notice that there are times when there seems to be an abundance of one color while other colors tend to be harder to find.
Chocolate Brown: I have always preferred brown over black since I’m a fair skinned girly. It just tends to be more flattering for me and so I am quite happy to see chocolate brown everywhere! Boots, dresses, accessories, etc. I am here for it. I’m excited to get a pair of chocolate brown boots for the fall as well as a chocolate brown jacket.
Animal Print: In my opinion, this print is timeless. With that being said, I think some animal print can be done well and some can look cheap! Because it is trending right now there are a lot more options than normal so I’d say to look for the animal print items that are high quality vs a cheaper item you may only wear for one season. I really like the animal print belts and shoes I am seeing this season.
Red: I know not everyone goes for red, however I think most people can wear red. What I love about red is depending on the undertone, red can look so different person to person. Because I am cool toned, I find blue reds are most flattering on me. For someone with a warm tone, a warm red will be most flattering! Red is also great because red will work in every season and I love the deep reds (think wine, burgundy) of the cooler months. I am most excited to wear red lipstick, red shoes and red tops. It is such a great statement for any look!
Hot tip: My favorite blue-red lipstick is Revlon’s “Cherries in the Snow”. It is great for gals with cool toned, fair skin. Fun fact: this iconic shade launched in 1953.
Cherries in the snow was worn by my grandmother, Aunts & Mom ♥️
Oh Margaret, this is so sweet! Thank you for sharing this!!
